Healing Through the Intersections: Call for Collaborative Funding

The SVPS Centre is pleased to announce a new program funding opportunity for members of the UofT community!

This funding opportunity is open to any and all University of Toronto clubs, committees, departments divisions and community groups on all three campuses that may host events, programs, or workshops for students related to sexual violence and intersectionality, and/or support programming for survivors of sexual violence and sexual harassment who experience the intersection of multiple identities such as, but not limited to, Black women, Indigenous women, women with disabilities, and racialized women.

In particular we are granting funds of up to $500 to groups that are creating healing space for specific racialized communities. Applications from students, staff, and faculty are welcome. 

UPDATED DEADLINE: Please fill-out this form on or before Friday, Jan.3, 2025. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. 

Terms and Conditions of Collaborative Funding 

  • Funds of up to $500 will be granted to a select number of applicants, as chosen by the SVPS Centre team 
  • Funds can only be used for the approved initiative, which must occur between November 29, 2024 and February 28, 2025
  • Groups will be required to provide documentation of how the funds were used, including invoices from facilitators and receipts for supplies
  • Eligible expenses may include:
    • Facilitator fees and/or speaker honoraria 
    • Room booking fees 
    • Catering for event participants
    • Commissioned design work or printing costs related to promotional assets 
    • Workshop supplies (i.e. craft supplies, materials for care kits)
  • Ineligible expenses include:
    • Research projects/safety audits 
    • Travel/accomodations 
    • Consultant fees
