November 22: Monstrous Love with Kai Cheng Thom
Join us on November 22 from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. for this workshop with Kai Cheng Thom (MSW, MSc).
Monstrous Love: Transformative Justice, Mental Health, and Relationship Abuse is a workshop developed by Kai Cheng Thom and Kota Harbron that was originally a part of the Monster Academy Mental Health workshop series for queer and trans youth in Montreal. In this trauma-informed workshop, we will explore the complex intersection between mental health and abuse in relationships. We will also explore Transformative Justice as a framework for understanding and responding to potential relationship abuse in community settings. Participants will leave with a set of tools and questions they can use when thinking about if and how to intervene in situations among their peers and friends.
